Hotels within Walking Distance of Fenway Park

On our Amtrak ballpark trip, we stayed at the Sheraton Boston, a pleasant 20-minute (max) walk from Fenway Park. It’s a large mid-rise hotel with 1200 rooms, adjacent to the convention center. Located in the Back Bay neighborhood, it’s convenient to public transportation, with plenty of amenities and attractions nearby. There’s also a restaurant and bar located inside the hotel. Opposing teams often stay here when playing the Red Sox.

Located even closer to the Fenway Park (~5 minute walk), The Hotel Commonwealth advertises itself as “a Boston favorite”. It’s a charming 5-story brick building that perfectly blends into the neighborhood. The neighborhood, like Boston in general, is very walk-able. In fact, Trip Advisor rates the hotel 100/100 for walkers! The only knock is that it’s also located close to the Mass Pike, so noise can be an issue in certain rooms. Overall the reviews are good on Trip Advisor — and it’s easily one of the best hotels near Fenway Park.
