Sheraton Arlington – walking distance to Globe Life Field

While the Loews hotel is right next to Globe Life Field, the Sheraton Arlington is about a 15-minute walk. In the past, some opposing teams have stayed at the Sheraton – not sure if this will change with the new ballpark. It’s fairly priced, and also conveniently located to Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor. On premise, it’s got a great pool and great lobby bar, too.

Budget-Friendly options

The city of Arlington runs free shuttle routes that stop at about 25 local hotels, Globe Life Field, Six Flags over Texas, and Hurricane Harbor. There are 4 different routes that divvy up the hotels efficiently. If you’re on a budget, planning an extended stay, or thinking of going to Six Flags while you’re here, these hotels provide a great option.

Opened in 2019, Aloft is our favorite place among those on the shuttle routes (Aloft is on the Blue Shuttle Route). The modern (euro?) styling, modest pricing, and convenient location make us HIGHLY RECOMMEND Aloft – Arlington. It’s very clean, and has a comfortable lounge area in the lobby, with a convenient snack bar and the wxyz bar. The outdoor pool, while not to be confused with a resort pool, is actually a decent size. It’s great for families, couples, and singles alike.

Also on the Blue Shuttle route, the Sleep Inn is probably the lowest price (decent) hotel near the ballpark. It’s located across from Six Flags, and comes with WiFi and breakfast included. While it’s been spruced up lately, it’s a no-frills option and shows signs of age. According to reviews, cleanliness is inconsistent.
